Info:
This in-person class will cover POTA gear: rigs, batteries, antennas and mounts, cables, connectors, etc. We'll also cover rules, picking locations, setting up, operating, and getting/logging QSOs. I will share my secret tips for maximizing success which translate directly to having more fun. This class will run approximately 2 hours, maybe longer if interest to do so prevails. Class size will be limited so signup in advance is required.

Location:
The class will be in Simsbury, CT. You will learn the exact location after you sign up. Talk-in will be available on a VHF FM frequency.

Background:
As a teacher and college professor, I am a professional educator and have taught over 450 classes. As a ham, I've been licensed since 1975 and am a top-100 POTA activator with over 385 activations and 92 POTA awards. I have an engineering degree and passed all written FCC exams Novice through Extra without studying.

Cost:
The class will be FREE.

Textbook:
A textbook will be required (just like my college classes). If you already have Successful POTA, the class will be free. Newbies can get an ebook for free. Other students can get a special discount on this site or buy from Amazon.
