Many people drive SUVs and look for ways to mount a ham antenna without (a) drilling holes), (b) scratching paint with magnets, (c) spending tons of $$$, and (d) requiring lots of time to attach/detach.
I have a solution: clamp to a roof rack crossbar. You could use a heavy-duty mirror mount for a larger antenna, but you could use a much smaller Workman BVAM-1 aluminum mount for 2m or dual-band antenna or even a small HF vertical like the Super Antenna MP1. Just add longer bolts (plus wing nuts if you want to be able to attach/detach without tools).
